Having bought a bunch of cotton gauze (cotton muslin) fabric to make swaddle blankets for myself and friends having babies, I decided to have a little fun with mine and try some tie dying. We are all a big fan of purple in this house, so hopefully the new baby boy will be too!
The boys and I made him a onesie, and a swaddle blanket. I also threw a maternity shirt in that had a lot of discolouration after being handed from person to person. White is a hard colour to upkeep, so why not purple!
Here was our process in pictures.
It was a lot of fun, and strangely enough, not very messy! The dye cleaned up very easily when spilt.
Pretty impressed!
